Management of free capital on the crypto market
Simonyiová, Marie ; Zavadil, Marek (referee) ; Budík, Jan (advisor)
This master's thesis focuses on the subject Management of free capital inside the cryptocurrency market. First, selected cryptocurrencies are briefly described. Subsequently, their historical data are analysed. Finally, based on these findings, an appropriate strategy for the chosen company is formulated.
Ultra low noise switching power supply
Raba, Jaroslav ; Leuchter,, Jan (referee) ; Šrámek, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the issue of switching power supply in terms of noise ratios in the output voltage. In the theoretical part analyzes the basic principle of classical and resonant topology switching power converters in terms of output voltage ripple and switching noise. There are also some possibilities of compensation to minimize switching noise and output ripple. The second part describes the custom design a low noise switching power supply, which is composed of an active power factor corrector, power converters and ripple limiter. The main power converter is designed as an LLC resonant converter. The last part deals with the actual construction of the proposed source, its measurement and presentation of the results.

Kryptomeny
Baran, Mojmír
Baran, M. Cryptocurrencies. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2009. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to evaluate the potential usability of crypto-currencies as a financial instrument. The thesis deals with three selected crypto-currencies: Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ripple. The theoretical basis of work is focused on presentation of each cryptocurrency and the basic principles of their functio-ning. The empirical part of the thesis contains an analysis of the price development on the basis of which the impacts on the value of the cryptocurrencies are identifi-ed along with calculation of the indices of the investment triangle and the sharpe ratio for each of the cryptocurrencies while providing a subsequent evaluation.

Do crypto-currencies form a new asset class?
Mayr, Samuel ; Krištoufek, Ladislav (advisor) ; Hanus, Luboš (referee)
This paper examines statistical properties of crypto-currencies' price variations in comparison with statistical properties of price variations in common financial markets. Price data of Bitcoin, ripple and Litecoin have been directly compared with price data of euro currency and stock index S&P500. Additionally, and compared with set of stylized facts of asset returns. The properties in scope of this work include an autocorrelation of day-to-day returns, a shape of return distributions, a volatility clustering, a leverage effect and a volume/volatility correlation. To answer the question of this thesis, we have tried to find unique differences in the way prices of crypto-currencies behave. After every point of the data analysis has been checked, we have concluded that the only major difference is in the shape and the significance of autocorrelation in day-to-day returns. While crypto-currencies seem to autocorrelate, there has been no such a cross-autocorrelation found in the benchmark values. Therefore, we argue that it is the most distinctive sign of crypto-currencies and the reason for crypto-currencies to be regarded as separate asset class. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Potential of cryptocurrencies in international trade
Plint, Sergey ; Hinčica, Vít (advisor) ; Jedlinský, Jakub (referee)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to assess the current development of cryptocurrencies, present information about their current state of development, introduce to four largest projects (Bitcoin, Ethereum, litecoin, Ripple) and to evaluate functioning of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology in the context of start-ups and financial institutions. As a part of this work there is also provided an overview of legislation over cryptocurrencies globally, in the context of the European Union and the Czech Republic. Then there are also presented the actual use of technology, cutting-edge start-ups and their products. Finally the thesis evaluates the intersection of startups into different sectors and presents the views of experts working in various fields of economy.
Power supply
Matějů, Jan ; Uher, Miroslav (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This work is focused on development of a laboratory power source with low output ripple, its construction and measuring its basic parameters. Basic point of interestion is systems design of a digital controled power source. Document describes problems which has occured and its solutions. Describes designing of a circuit board, its construction and measuring its parameters. Below describes system design, construction and examination of a display and keyboard for operating the device. As a result of this work is realized and measured system design, which achieved relativem low levels of output ripple, short reaction time on change of load, but slower reaction of a current limit. Some parameters has not been entirely fine-tuned, especialy speed of reaction of current limit, amplitude of output distortion volage and stability diring short circuit on output clamps.
